Purpose:
Key decision to approve the strategy
procurement plan for replacement of a set of systems currently
supplied by IDOX in the PPR directorate that are no longer fit for
purpose. The replacement solution to be hosted in the
Cloud.
Decision:
The procurement of a suite of replacement applications (through the Crown Commercial Service Framework RM1557.13) to support key services in the Directorate: Place, Planning and Regeneration is approved.
Reasons for the decision:
There is a time pressure for the procurement and implementation of this applications suite because current systems are failing, and this is impacting on service delivery. Utilising an existing framework allows the procurement to meet the timeframes required (Target delivery date June 2024). G Cloud Framework has identified four suppliers potentially capable of delivering a replacement system. The alternative of advertising is likely to generate numerous (hopeful) responses which would require significant officer time to review, compromising the timeframe.
