Decision details

Strategic Procurement Plan – Highways Condition Surveys Contract

Decision Maker: Executive Member for Planning and Transport

Decision status: Recommendations Approved

Is Key decision?: Yes

Is subject to call in?: Yes

Purpose:

To seek approval to commence the procurement of a new Road Condition Survey Contract

Decision:

That the Executive Member approved the Strategic Procurement Plan to tender the appointment of Highways Condition Surveys from a single provider for the duration and value set out within the confidential annex of this Strategic Procurement Plan.

Reasons for the decision:

The existing Highways Condition Survey Contract ends in March 2023 and a new contract is required to procure this essential highways information.

Alternative options considered:

The council could seek three quotes on an annual basis from specialised contractors. However this would lose the opportunity for efficiencies through a longer term contract, shared with neighbouring authorities.

None

Subject to Urgent Proceedings: No
