Decision:

To award a four year contract to a new email newsletter supplier. This follows a tender in line with the council's agreed procurement process.

Reasons for the decision:

Digital communications, including email, is a key way in which the council gets news, event information and updates to residents and other stakeholders.

The contract with the previous supplier expired on 31.03.2024, so a procurement exercise to secure a new provider was carried out in 2023/24.

Following the tender process, the contract has been awarded to enable email news to continue to be sent.


Alternative options considered:

To not procure a new provider. This was discounted as it is an essential communications tool.
