Purpose:
To present the Executive with the findings of the Education, Skills and Growth Overview and Scrutiny Panel’s review into Community Infrastructure Levy which have been endorsed by the Overview & Scrutiny Commission, and to seek approval of the Panel’s recommendations.
Decision:
That the recommendations of the Education, Skills and Growth Overview & Scrutiny Panel arising from its review of the Community Infrastructure Levy be accepted.
Reasons for the decision:
The recommendations were regarded as a reasonable way of enhancing the existing processes, for the benefit of this Council, parish and town councils in receipt of CIL payments, and local residents.
Alternative options considered:
To agree the recommendations in part; to ask for further work to be undertaken recognising that this would delay the Panel’s next piece of work, or to note the Panel’s report.
