Purpose:

To obtain endorsement and approval to the continuing approach to the town centre regeneration

Decision:

 

1          That the approach to the Development Agreement set out in paras 5.1 - 5.8 of the report be endorsed.

 

2          That the Heads of Terms of the Development Agreement on Winchester House at Appendix 2 to the report, be approved.

 

3          The Chief Executive be authorised to enter into legal agreements with Comer Homes regarding the Winchester House site based on the Heads of Terms at Appendix 2 to the report.

 

4          The Chief Executive be delegated authority to make minor variations to the heads of terms with Comer Homes as outlined in para 5.18 of the report.

Reasons for the decision:

 

To progress the Council’s key priority of a Town Fit for the 21st Century

 

To bring forward the comprehensive regeneration of Bracknell Town Centre as soon as possible in the current economic climate.
