RESOLVED that the minutes of the meeting of the Committee held on 12 January 2009 be approved and signed by the Chairman as a correct record.

Urgent Items of Business

There were no urgent items of business.

Minutes:

The Chairman gave notice that he had agreed to the addition of an item of urgent business to the agenda for the meeting.  The report concerned Enid Wood House and recent developments concerning its future.  An urgent decision was required

because the Council was required to advise officers on its preferred next steps before the sale of Enid Wood House, at auction, on 28 March 2009.

200.

Exclusion of Public and Press

To consider the following motion:

 

That pursuant to Regulation 21 of the Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements) (Access to Information) Regulations 2000, members of the public and press be excluded from the meeting for the consideration of item 6 which involves the likely disclosure of exempt information under the following category of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972:

 

(3)        Information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person (including the authority).

Bracknell Town Centre Regeneration - Update Report

The Committee considered the report submitted on the item below and the decisions taken are recorded in the decision sheet attached to these minutes and summarised below:

 

Item 6 Bracknell Town Centre Regeneration Update

 

Resolved that:

 

           i.            the Committee endorses the approach to the regeneration of Bracknell Town Centre as set out in the report including the updated workstreams in appendix A of the report.

         ii.            two briefing sessions would be arranged, one for the Committee and one for all members, to enable Stanhope PLC to provide members with an update on the progress of the town centre regeneration.

Enid Wood House Update

Minutes:

The Committee considered a report setting out recent developments with regard to Enid Wood House.  The report set out a number of potential options for a way forward and sought advice from the Committee on their preferred next steps.

 

RESOLVED that authority be delegated to the Chief Executive, in consultation with the Leader of the Council, to make a decision on 25 March 2009 as to whether an Extraordinary Council meeting would be called in order to consider the matter further.
