Community tree planting through Trees for Streets

To seek approval for the allocation of council capital funding (£12,000) to fund a community tree planting scheme, via Trees for Street. This national charity facilitates the sponsorship of tree planting through donations from business, groups and individuals. This will answer a demand from residents and creates a sense of ownership and neighbourhood connection.

Making Representations: In writing to the Director of Place

Financial Impact: Proposal is to use existing council capital funding, earmarked for tree planting and establishment. The funding will help to facilitate the Trees for Streets scheme in the first two years of operation. As the scheme grows in Bracknell from year three, it will be self-financing.
