The Biodiversity Net Gain Supplementary
Planning Document provides further guidance to the policies
contained within the Development Plan. It contains information on
how developers can comply with biodiversity net gain which becomes
mandatory in November 2023 and advice to landowners seeking to use
their land as habitat banks for biodiversity net gain.

The Draft Biodiversity Net Gain Supplementary
Planning Document will go out to public consultation for a period
of approximately 6 weeks.
Consultees
Consultees on the Council’s planning
consultation database will be invited to take part in this
consultation . These include statutory consultees such as Natural
England and Parish and Town Councils, local groups and developers
and residents.
Making Representations: In writing to the Executive Director: Place, Planning and Regeneration
Financial Impact: There are set up costs which is paid for from DEFRA grants and existing resources. The implementation of the strategy will be neutral or potentially a longer term financial gain for the Council.
