The government has been consulting as DEFRA on waste collection, and their recommendation is that food waste collected weekly and general waste collected fortnightly is the minimum service level a council should offer. Please follow the recommendations and keep the currently fortnightly green bin collections in place alongside the new food waste recycling collection.
