07/01/2021 - Procurement of a Neutral Vendor for Agency Staff ref: 3122    Recommendations Approved

To seek approval to appoint a contract to a neutral vendor for agency staff from 1 April 2021, following the tender process approved by the Executive in October 2020.

Decision:

1          That the neutral agency contract be awarded to Tenderer B, identified in Confidential Annex 1, for an initial period of two years commencing 1 April 2021, with the option to extend by a further period of two years, subject to satisfactory performance and at the discretion of the Council.

 

2          That the neutral agency contract be pro-actively managed/controlled by HR to identify long-term agency workers and make recommendations to move to permanent/fixed term contract positions to reduce costs.
