Purpose:

To approve the School Places Plan and Capacity Strategy 2022-26. These were last approved by the Executive in February 2021 and have now been updated to cover the five-year period from 2022 to 2026.

Decision:

 

       i.         the School Places Plan and School Capacity Strategy 2022-26 be approved.

 

     ii.         the journey for co-production and co-delivery of the future vision and

approach for planning for school places between the Council and schools is noted.

Reasons for the decision:

1.     The Council has the statutory duty to provide sufficient school places, which means that the Council has an ongoing role in planning for school places in Bracknell Forest.

 

2.     The School Places Plan and Capacity Strategy are the essential tools employed by the Council to meet this duty.
