Purpose:

To seek approval for a procurement plan in relation to the Environmental monitoring contract linked to the management of historic landfill sites.

Decision:

RESOLVED that the Procurement plan for the environmental monitoring contract tender is approved.

Reasons for the decision:

There is a requirement of the Contract Standing Orders that any contracts in excess of £181K are required to go to a formal tendering process to ensure value for money and compliance with legislation.

The current contract has been in place since 2011 and following an extension granted in 2016 the contract must now be retendered.
