Purpose:

To seek approval to tender the construction works to create a new town centre youth facility on Braccan Walk.

That the the Procurement Plan to commence the tender process for the construction works to create a new town centre youth facility on Braccan Walk be approved.

Reasons for the decision:

It is a requirement of the Contract Standing orders that the Director and Executive Member approve any Procurement Plan with a value in excess of £400,000. This decision seeks approval for the procurement process.

 

During February 2019, the Executive approved the business case for the implementation of a new youth facility and the application for capital funding.

Alternative options considered:

None, as it is a requirement of the Contract Standing orders that any contracts in excess of £181,000 are required to go out to a formal tendering process to ensure value for money and compliance with legislation.
