Purpose:

To approve the Commitment Budget and budget process for 2011/12 and beyond.

Decision:

1          That the Commitment Budget for the period 2011/12 to 2014/15, summarised in Table 1 of the report be approved.

 

2          That the proposed budget process for 2011/12 as set out in paragraphs 5.12 to 5.15 of the report be approved.

Reasons for the decision:

The recommendations are designed to allow the Executive to start to consider an appropriate budget strategy for 2011/12 and beyond in the light of strategies being developed by the new Coalition Government.
