Submitting an e-Petition

Who can submit a petition

Anyone who lives, works or studies in Bracknell Forest can now submit petitions either in the traditional way on paper or via an e-petition.

What can an e-petition cover?

An e-Petition can relate to any issue on which the Council has powers or duties or on which it has shared delivery responsibilities through any partnership arrangement.

How to submit a new e-petition

Any petition submitted must include a clear and concise statement covering the subject of the petition and state what action the petitioners want the Council to take.

Supporting an e-Petition

To support an existing e-Petition choose the e-petition and log in or register to sign it. If you have not previously signed an e-Petition or registered to use the Modern.Gov system, you will need to register as this is separate from any other account you may have with the Council including your Bracknell Forest self-service account

Read the e-Petition Guidance to find out more about how to submit an e-Petition.

What happens next?

Someone will be in touch to acknowledge the petition and discuss your options with you. These options include:

• Speaking at a public meeting to present your petition

• Requesting a formal response from the relevant service area

• Requesting a meeting with the relevant officers or elected representatives

Disclaimer
