The contract with RIS for highway and street
lighting maintenance allows for rolling one year extensions to the
original 7 year contract subject to satisfactory performance.
The Director: Place, Planning and Regeneration received an annual
report from RIS regarding the fifth year of operation and
additionally a report from the Head of Highways and Transport
regarding the contractors performance from a client
perspective.
Both reports highlighted strong performance from RIS in delivering
the services required of them in the fifth year of operation.
Critically, RIS met or exceeded all of the strategic indicators
contained within the contract requiring that a one year extension
be awarded.
