Purpose:

The purpose of this report is to present the annual report of the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) to the Executive Member of Children and Young People and Local Safeguarding Children’s Board in line with statutory expectations and good practice.

Decision:

The Executive Member, Children and Young People received the annual report of the LADO and noted the key messages and recommendations made.

Reasons for the decision:

 

To ensure ongoing accountability of the LADO in line with statutory duties, and to promote the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people by ensuring that professionals who work with them are safe and competent to do so.
