Purpose:

For the Executive Member to approve the CSA for 2019-20 and agree to publication of the CSA 2019-20 on the Bracknell Forest Website to make it available to parents and childcare providers.

Decision:

The Executive Member for Children, Young People and Learning approved the contents of the CSA 2019-20, and agreed to publication of the CSA 2019-20 on the Bracknell Forest website to make it available to parents and childcare providers.

Reasons for the decision:

Statutory Guidance for Local Authorities sets out Local Authorities statutory duty to secure sufficient childcare. In order to meet this duty Bracknell Forest Council is required to submit a report to elected council members on how it is meeting its duty and to make this report available to parents.

Financial Impact: Any revenue costs related to the CSA 2019-20 will need to be financed from within current budgets. If any capital costs emerge, they will need to be considered by the council through the normal budget setting process.
