Purpose:
For the Executive Member to approve the
release of £250,927 of DfE Special Pupil Capital Fund (SPCF)
grant for inclusion on the Council’s 2018/19 capital
programme.
Decision:
The Executive Member approved the release of £250,927 of DFE Special Pupil Capital Funding Scheme for inclusion on the Council’s 2018/19 capital programme to the following schools:
a) Fox Hill School, SEND nurture based provision: provide a nurture group space: £70,000
b) Harmans Water School, SEND: Setting up a Primary Intervention Unit: £55,000
c) Open Learning Centre, Kitchen SME to teach independence and also skills that can support 19-25 year olds in employment: £70,000
d) Parent/Carer Forum in partnership with Adult Social Care: SEND: Setting up specialist unit for young people 19-25 the Young People's Oasis: £55,927
Reasons for the decision:
Executive Member approval is required to release these new projects into the 2018/19 capital programme.
Alternative options considered:
There were more bids that money available so a shortlisting process has been applied to create the preferred list of projects for approval by DMT.
