That expenditure of £10,481.71 from the Resources Capital budget to be given as a grant to The Parks Community Association is approved.

      i)        To enable The Parks Community Association to have in their reserves a budget for repairs to the MUGA and/or tennis courts to help enable them to take on the management of the facilities, as part of the transformation of Parks & Open Spaces.

     ii)        This project will directly support three of the Councils strategic objectives,

·         Value for money

Community involvement and the use of volunteers in the delivery of council services has increased

·         People live active and healthy lifestyles

Numbers of adults and young people participating in leisure and sport has increased

·         A clean, green, growing and sustainable place

Appropriate infrastructure development is completed to support housing growth including; Warfield Link Road, Coral Reef Junction, Jennetts Park, town centre

·         Strong, safe, supportive and self-reliant communities

High levels of community cohesion are maintained
