To approve the transfer of the Councils Adoption Service to a Regional Adoption Shared Service, managed by Oxfordshire.

Decision:

To support Bracknell Forest Council’s shared service arrangements being extended to become Adopt Thames Valley Regional Adoption Agency with the new shared service to be hosted by Oxfordshire County Council, with a base for Berkshire in Wokingham.

Reasons for the decision:

Improvements to adoption services for both children and adopters. Value for money so that no child will experience any undue delay in finding an adoptive home and to comply with government requirements.
