The tender, which was below the £181,000
threshold was carried out as prescribed by The Bracknell Forest
Council Procurement Manual. Four organisations were approached with
two formally making tender bids.
The tender was a light touch tender which covered 18 months from
October 2020 to March 2022, at a cost of £120,220 pa. The
price was set, and the two organisations responded to a
questionnaire of 48 marked questions and 16 mandated requirements.
Both were marked by a panel of four officers and Provider 1 was
selected by all four Officers as the preferred provider.
The Tender was carried out following the
decision to cease providing the service in house. A Tender was
agreed following a review of the service and as prescribed by
Bracknell Forest Council procurement regulations.
